Christian Louboutin Shoes is launching a luxe line of cosmetics and other beauty products in the next year and a half, reports Women’s Wear Daily.“[The beauty range] has to mirror the quality of the shoes, of the bags, of all the DNA of the brand,” siad Louboutin. “Beauty products also have to do with empowering women. That’s very much the job of the shoes I’m designing.” DID JESSICA SIMPSON KNOCK OFF THESE LOUBOUTINS?
Take a deep breath ladies.
The old Esquire Theater on Oak Street will soon house a Christian Louboutin store.
According to Crain’s, a $42.5 million deal has been signed for the 35,000 square foot property that will house a Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steak House and several retail projects.
Louboutin — famous for its red-soled pumps — will encompass 1,000 square feet of the property, which is 80 percent leased, Crain’s reports.
Tenants are expected to open stores as soon as December.
The fashion world’s love affair with fairy tales continues with Christian Louboutin designing a pair of shoes inspired by Disney’s Cinderella.
The animated picture is being rereleased on Blu-ray and DVD this fall, and in honor of this the French shoe guru will offer an interpretation of the iconic “glass slipper” worn by the movie’s namesake.
Fashionistas will have to wait until the summertime to see the shoe, although it is said the creator, famous for his red-soled talons, will put his own “magic touch” on the famous footwear.
“I have been so lucky to have crossed paths with Cinderella, an icon who is so emblematic to the shoe world as well as the dream world,” Louboutin is quoted as saying in WWD April 26.

This won’t be the first time the Brothers Grimm fairytale shoe has provides a source of inspiration.
Maison Martin Margiela created its own interpretation of the iconic glass slippers a few years back for a limited edition range.
Meanwhile, Snow White also looks set to be a major source for fashion trends this year thanks to the release of a new Hollywood interpretation of the tale, Snow White and the Huntsman. The film has already inspired a Benefit Cosmetics beauty kit allowing fans to recreate protagonist Kristen Stewart’s pale beauty, and Charlize Theron’s Evil Queen character boasts an extensive haute couture wardrobe.
Fairy tales were also the theme for the Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2012 collection, which was described as “spring-like and magical” by creative director Marc Jacobs.
Hollywood stars and supermodels make walking in high heels look easy. They float along gracefully looking tall and elegant.
High heels can also make any flat-footed woman look like royalty if she knows how to walk in them. It’s a learned skill and that’s why women worldwide attend courses to find out how to do it right.
“What looks elegant is also healthy,” says Edeltraud Breitenberger, a high heel trainer in Munich.
She works with women who want to “emphasise their femininity, feel comfortable walking in high heels and want to avoid hurting themselves”.
Breitenberger also teaches men – transvestites who have never worn high heels, as well as men who want to look more elegant when they walk. She promises to teach them how to walk like Richard Gere.
On women’s shoes, the base of the high heel should curve gently downwards from the sole so that it is directly under the middle of the heel. If the heel is too far back, it’s almost impossible to walk with a rolling motion, and it is bad for posture.
